Cutting Board Care

Clean it.

Cleaning your cutting board, butcher block, or charcuterie board is one of the most important steps to the health of your piece. Wilson Woodworks products can be cleaned with dish soap and water. DO NOT SOAK the cutting board. DO NOT PUT CUTTING BOARD IN DISHWASHER.


Prep it.

Prepping your cutting board after washing it is probably the most important step for the longevity of the cutting board. This commonly over looked portion of cutting board care is simple and easy. After washing and drying your cutting board, you should apply wax or oil.

Oil it.

Oiling your cutting board is the most common way to care for your cutting board. Wilson Woodworks prides itself on providing the best cutting board oil on the market.

Wax it.

Waxing is a more advanced method of cutting board care and should be used in conjunction with oiling your cutting board. Wilson Woodworks Premium Blend Cutting Board Wax is made from only 100% food safe ingredients.

There are 2 methods to waxing: Cold Waxing and Hot Waxing. The only difference is whether the wax is applied in a melted state or in a semi solid state.
